About

Notes From the Unconscious was originally conceptualized as a book about psychology and philosophy as told from a self-taught enthusiast perspective. At the halfway point, I hit a wall. It was classic writer’s block. To make matters worse, my book was reading more like a collection of essays than I had intended. I wasn’t totally opposed to this, but with each new chapter I found myself longing for a sense of cohesion amongst my ideas. What I was writing was turning into the framework of a psychological theorem. However, no matter how much I studied the principles I was writing about, I found myself beyond my scope. It was at this point that I took the decisive step to return to school after long years of telling myself this was an unrealistic endeavor. The book itself is now indefinitely on hiatus. This past year back in school has been a curious adventure, and yet, I find myself still wanting to write. A blog seemed like a natural choice for the continuation of Notes From the Unconscious. Here I can continue writing on a topic-to-topic format while simultaneously reflecting on the on-goings of life. If you’re reading this, I hope you can find some intrigue in these Notes From the Unconscious.
